What God Requires

What does the Lord require of me?
The Lord requires us to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God.

“With what shall I come before the Lord,
   and bow myself before God on high?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings,
   with calves a year old?
Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,
with ten thousands of rivers of oil?
Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression,
   the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”
He has told you, O mortal, what is good;
   and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
   and to walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6: 6-8

Justice means to do what is right, to walk even as Christ walked when He lived here on earth; to that which is honest and fair.
To love mercy means to have the ability to have compassion or forgiveness; to be able to show it toward someone who may not deserve it.
To walk humbly with God means to live in obedience to His commands and to have communion with Him; to allow God to know you; to be a servant to both God and man, putting others first.
